The RFPA, Silver Lake, Paisley fire departments are back on the Watson Creek Fire. We are making the lines above Withers Ranch.

Watson Creek Fire update

The HDRFPA, Silver Lake and Paisley fire departments have been released from the fire and are on  standby. The fire is tracking south east.  I will try and get an update in the morning.

Watson Creek Fire update

The RFPA, silver Lake and Paisley fire departments are staged between Government Harvey and the Withers ranch. They have cat lines around most of the houses along with fire hose lays Incase the fire comes over the rim and down towards 31.

Clothes Hanger Drive

The High Desert Rangeland Fire Protection Association could use any extra clothes  hangers you have, we recently received a large donation of  PPE “personnel protective equipment”  and would like to hang them up so volunteers and member could find there sizes easier.

Please drop them off at the store with Dale.

The Land Acquisition for the Edmunds Well at Summer Lake Wildlife Area,  Community Survey was 64 YES and 98 NO.

There will be a meeting at 6 pm May 14th at the Summer Lake Lodge to discuss the acquisition of the Edmonds property by ODFW. For more information see the letter posted at the Lodge or the Store, You can also contact Marty at the ODFW office 541-943-3152.

There will be a refresher fire fighter training class at the lodge at summer Lake from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Sunday April 8th. Everyone is welcome to attend.

It has been reported that a group of vandals have been working ORE 31, breaking into vehicles steeling fuel and batteries.
